Natural Cherry:

"The beauty of natural finished cabinetry comes from the
qualities of the wood itself. Our manufacturers use only select
solid hardwoods and veneers. Natural wood varies in color from
white to red, black and even green in some areas. Mineral streaks,
resin lines and other natural phenomena may cause differences
in the color, grain and figure of the wood. Because of the nature
of construction of your custom cabinetry, variations in color and
grain may appear in adjacent doors, stiles, rails, drawers or panels.

Wood will darken with time and exposure to UV light. Most wood
will achieve its typical darkness after about 6 months of normal
exposure. Variations in color can be dramatic, as seen in this
cherry door. Note the "new" cherry door with its variations in
color and grain. Over time, with normal exposure to the sun, this
mellows to the pretty reddish seen in the sample on the upper
left. This piece of cherry represents what is typical after 6 months
to a year. With severe, direct exposure it can become even darker
as in the sample in the lower right. The true beauty of custom
furniture like our cabinets comes from the natural characteristics
of wood. That is precisely what draws us to it and makes us want
to have it around us in our homes."
